Addiction Road

Posted on December 30, 2018December 30, 2018 by DD

Several weeks ago I was listening to a lecture and the speaker gave a helpful list that many young people have taken to Addiction Road.

  1. Experiential – The starting point often comes from the encouragement of someone else or from plan curiosity.
  2. Social – After the initial experience it then swiftly moves down the road to socially convenient or acceptable.
  3. Purposeful – Soon the social develops into a more purposeful reason for taking drug/drink of choice.
  4. Habit – Before long a habit has developed.
  5. Addiction – Finally the power of the drug/drink has placed the person on Addiction Road.

An important warning is the speed to Addiction Road varies from person to person, therefore the best prevention is to say no to the initial experience.

Perhaps you are on Addiction Road just know there is hope and there are people who are willing to help. The starting point is to admit that you are on Addiction Road. If I can help send me a message and lets get directions to Recovery Road.
