A Hike to the Summit of River Sound

Posted on February 26, 2015February 26, 2015 by DD

This morning I knew the snow was not going to last and decided to take the kids on a hike and possibly some sledding.   Graham came down with the very bad stomach bug that Sydney just recovered from so he was not with us.  Our neighbor Parker came with us. I did not tell them where we were going, so about halfway there they were saying the usual.  Where are we going?  How long before we get there?   At one point Sydney said “Did we have to bring them two with us” speaking of Mitchell and Parker, because they were slowly bringing up the rear.  Anyways we made it to our destination; the summit of River Sound subdivision.  The sledding did not work out because the snow was quickly turning to slush on the road, and the snow was not packed down enough on the hillsides to make for good sledding. Maybe next time. The views were great and we all had a good time creating memories.  I have included a photo journal of our trip for those who are interested. Feel free to leave a comment about the pictures.
